Chloe's smile was positively venomous as she stood her ground a little more than a lunge away. She was getting a feel for just how far Alkaid could lunge in a pinch, now that her real powers were active again. She wanted just barely enough range. Alkaid didn't yet know how far the frost extended. The longer that they stood and talked, the more that she was drawing the moisture out of the air and coalescing it into the girl's clothing, aiming to freeze it as close to solid as she possibly could. It wouldn't freeze her in place like the hydrant would have, but the effect would hopefully have her both shivering and limit her ability to move.

She giggled, one finger reaching up towards her lip, pulling it down as she smiled. "I honestly can't believe you haven't figured it out yet, Chika. You were always so much smarter than this, even if you did hang out with a psychopath who wrecked both of our lives."
