NEW COMERS POST 1
Who: OPEN TO ALL
What: The first wave of newcomers arrive in the hospital.
Where: The Hospital, Center City
When: July 26
Warnings: Please tag any smut or triggers in the comment subject line.
The common room is just as brightly lit and white as the rest of the hospital. There are some scattered seats - large plush chairs and stiff looking couches, as well as wooden chairs at tables - and a TV blaring local soap operas in the corner. A few long tables are set up along the walls, each with a sign dangling down from the front to inform newcomers of what they can find here. Housing, job opportunities, and the Proxima Gamma Information Desk. Minus a few pamphlets about the unique attractions the island has to offer, there isn’t really that much of use on the last table. It’s clearly meant more for tourists than people who have been kidnapped.
Another set of tables hold a variety of snacks; fruits, vegetables, various candies, as well as a table with water, punch, and soda. No alcohol, unfortunately - this is a hospital, after all. You’ll have to leave to go find a bar for something stronger than that.
There’s not much place else to go - so come on in, settle down, and maybe find a familiar face, if you’re lucky.

Steve Rogers | MCU | OPEN
He'd been tempted to break the damn wall down and follow after the man, but a door had opened up and even though it was exactly what they wanted him to do and where they wanted him to go, it just seemed better at the moment to follow along. Until he didn't have to.
Coming into the room, he saw other people milling around, all seeming just as confused as he was, if not angry or upset. Great. So he wasn't the only guinea pig here. His hand moved up to the itch that reminded him of that implant, a frown crossing his features. This had HYDRA written all over it, though he wasn't quite certain about the seeming freedom he'd been given, or the others as well. No restraints. No guards. Just that chip and a phone before they were told to go off and 'do whatever you wanted'. Dr. Creepy might regret giving him that kind of leeway, but for now, he was going to move around the room, looking at the magazines and pamphlets and maybe trying to catch someone's eye to see if they were up to attempting to exchange a little information.

Catching sight of him as he walked out of his room, Chloe nodded once, the edges of a smirk visible at the top of her cloak. She started to walk over slowly. "Another one I see."

Because assuming was for chumps and it was also just the polite thing to do when you were trapped in a weird science experiment with strangers.

She glanced back to the room that he'd come from and snickered. "Were they as useless to you as they were to me?"

She smirked. "So, do you think we're allowed to leave this little hospital, or is this an actual abduction?"

"Apparently there's some really cool caves in the desert."

Caves were cool? God, how long had he been asleep this time?

Science was the best way for Kim to put aside her social anxieties. It wasn't totally 100% effective as now that the matter was settled she was suddenly becoming aware that she just asked a stranger if he spent any time in a sex dimension, and well..
"So, now that that's settled I'll just be... off."

"Why, where do you think I'm going?"
Wow, icon. That's not the one I chose. >|

The man made eye contact (Merlin, such blue eyes!) and Al couldn't stop himself from approaching him, giving him his winning Potter smile. "Hello," he said. "Strange place for a gathering. I can honestly say this is my first mixer in the lobby of a hospital. My name is Albus Severus."

"It's a tongue-twister that you can thank my Dad for. I usually just go by Al. Nice to meet you, Steve."
The confusion over the word 'mixer' made Steve more attractive. He had this funny way of turning his head when he didn't understand. Al had to keep from laughing nervously. There were more important things to worry about then cute guys.
"A party," Albus explained gesturing to those around them. "Everyone seems far too calm, especially considering we're meeting in a hospital. A hospital with vacation pamphlets I might add. Something doesn't seem right, that's all."
no subject
"I'll take calm over panicking. Panic gets people hurt. Not that I'll argue it's not still wrong, but this makes it a little easier to figure things out in before something happens and the panic kicks in. It all just feels a little surreal."
