The common room is just as brightly lit and white as the rest of the hospital. There are some scattered seats - large plush chairs and stiff looking couches, as well as wooden chairs at tables - and a TV blaring local soap operas in the corner. A few long tables are set up along the walls, each with a sign dangling down from the front to inform newcomers of what they can find here. Housing, job opportunities, and the Proxima Gamma Information Desk. Minus a few pamphlets about the unique attractions the island has to offer, there isn’t really that much of use on the last table. It’s clearly meant more for tourists than people who have been kidnapped.

Another set of tables hold a variety of snacks; fruits, vegetables, various candies, as well as a table with water, punch, and soda. No alcohol, unfortunately - this is a hospital, after all. You’ll have to leave to go find a bar for something stronger than that.

There’s not much place else to go - so come on in, settle down, and maybe find a familiar face, if you’re lucky.

"One of those sweet little things who wants to help, yes. You'd almost be shocked how rare they can be. Depending on the situation, it isn't quite as healthy as you might imagine," she said, chuckling lightly. "Not that I'm saying it's bad. I'm just warning you that not everyone's so ... kind-hearted."

"People can be different from what they seem on the surface, yeah." Like her aunt Kate, before she died. Or just the fact that Allison didn't know for a while that her boyfriend Scott was a werewolf. "Can I ask what kind of world you're from?" A place with supernatural or not, anything goes.

"My home is Earth, an Earth with no strange powers, no tricks, just the usual scum." She stayed always a little amused as she described it. "I used to live in the Pyrennes, but that was all years ago. I was trapped in another island for a long time. A strange little place called Amat. It's all so darkly similar. I do hope the scientists aren't perverts at least."

It would be a nice change of pace.

"I'm from Earth too, California to be exact, except we have ... other things. Supernatural things." No vampires, but werewolves and giant shapeshifting lizards and the like. "The other place you were in wasn't in your world? How many other different places can people be sent to exactly?" Because that sounds dangerous.

"I... have no idea. I wasn't aware there were others. The island of Amat was strange enough as is. I suppose, though, there must be more than one if we're both here." She sighed, shrugging. "But California, is it? I've heard it's lovely. Never been, though."
